Fabrizio Plessi My Life with Plessi

Following the tragic death of video art legend Fabrizio Plessi on August 23, 2026, we are dedicating our newsletters this week and next to the life and work of this Venetian by choice, who spent a large part of his artistic journey alongside gallerist and art historian Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen.

This week – in keeping with Plessi’s international reputation – we are featuring an English-language video tribute in which the gallerist traces her journey with Fabrizio Plessi, highlights key milestones and moments, and provides a comprehensive overview of Plessi’s major exhibition projects with the van der Koelen Gallery over the past 40 years.

Next week, we will follow up with a German-language tribute, which will be more comprehensive and detailed. Finally, we enclosed the invitation cards to the most important exhibitions as well as some milestones from Plessis sizeable œuvre.
