In our Collector’s Favourites series, we introduce you to art collectors who, through the mediation of gallerist and art historian Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen, have found access to a special artist at the gallery and thus their happiness.
Today, we are guests at KM_32 in Meerbusch for our video of the week. The founders of the art space, art collectors Prof. Dr. Ralf-Dietrich Müller and Dr. Volker M. Kroll, fell in love with Lore Bert’s delicate paper art.
In addition to various pictorial objects by the artist in different sizes, the two doctors have also added one of the rarer light works by the Mainz-based paper artist to their collection.
Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen has now traveled to Meerbusch specifically to set up the light work, together with her collectors, with whom she also has a long-standing friendship, in the KM_32 art space, complete with Lore Bert’s signature sea of paper. Afterwards, she will talk to the collectors about her approach to Lore Bert.
