Hellmut Bruch – François Morellet Exhibition: Konkret & konstruktiv
At Cadoro – Center for Art and Science in Mainz, we have prepared an exciting new exhibition in which gallerist and art historian Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen juxtaposes concrete and constructive approaches. To this end, we are presenting works by the charming Austrian artist Hellmut Bruch – who is celebrating his 90th birthday this year – as well as works by the humorous French minimalist François Morellet – whose 100th birthday would have been this year – in the spacious rooms on the ground floor of Cadoro.
The vernissage – to which we cordially invite you here – will take place this coming Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Cadoro. We hope to see many of you there and look forward to welcoming you in person at Cadoro.
Even at nearly 90 years old, Lore Bert’s productivity remains undiminished. Every day, she can be found in her studio, where, with the help of her hardworking assistants, she creates new and exciting works of art.
And these new works deserve to be seen. To celebrate Lore Bert’s upcoming 90th birthday in style, Karlsruhe-based gallerist Ewald Schrade is presenting a birthday exhibition for Lore Bert titled Lore Bert · On Her 90th Birthday in his exhibition spaces at the picturesque Mochental Castle, and we cordially invite you to attend.
And in Venice, too – in addition to the Art Biennale and our current exhibition, Art Beyond Boundaries, at La Galleria Venezia – there are new things to discover.
The popular Venice Art Night is taking place there, celebrating its 15th edition this year.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., the Long Night of Culture will begin with the opening of the Ca’ Foscari Portal. The event is conceived and coordinated by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in collaboration with the City of Venice and with the support of the Veneto Region.
With 142 participating venues and hundreds of free events, Art Night will bring the entire Venice area to life, from the historic center to the islands and the mainland. Museums, cultural institutions, churches, theaters, bookstores, galleries, associations, and artists’ studios will open their doors to the public for an evening dedicated entirely to art, culture, and community engagement.
Among the major participating cultural institutions is, of course, La Galleria Venezia, as well as the groundbreaking exhibition Towards the Light by Lore Bert, which is on view at the Church of San Fantin and has been breaking attendance records since its opening.
