Camilla Fabretti Campagnol has published a book about important women in Venice's past, present and future. The work – entitled Venezianissime! – takes the reader on a journey through the stories of women who have shaped the history of the lagoon city with creativity and passion. Seven chapters form a story that spans the centuries - between tradition and modernity, historical reflections and narrative lightness - giving voice to female characters and embodying the authentic soul of Venice. Unsurprisingly, Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen and her tireless work for the arts have also found their way into this literary gem. When the work was presented to the art and literary public on June 16, 2025, Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen gave a short speech, which we present to you in our video of the week.

The event took place on the premises of the Procuratie Vecchie – originally the home of the medieval Venetian building authority. Today, the Procuratie Vecchie is home to The Human Safety Net Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting social participation and was founded by Generali Insurance (Italy's largest insurance company).

Following the death of her good friend and long-time companion Günther Uecker last week, Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen decided to make a detailed film about the extensive joint projects with the nail artist. However, the sheer volume of material and the effort involved in editing it has prompted us to split this monumental work into several parts and to broadcast the first film of this trilogy next week in order to do justice to the content and honor Günther Uecker in the quality of the editing.
