Visions of Beauty in der Cadoro

We have been preparing it for months: the big anniversary exhibition Visions of Beauty on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Galerie Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen in Mainz and the 10th anniversary of Cadoro - Center for Art and Science. On August 25, 2024, the time had finally come: the grand opening took place and it was a great pleasure for us to welcome art lovers from near and far to our generous exhibition space.

Honorable speeches were held on this occasion. Marianne Grosse, Mainz City Councillor for Culture and Building, did the honors, followed by Michael Ebling, Secretary of the Interior, who took the time on this beautiful summer Sunday to celebrate art and beauty with us. The highlight was the knowledgeable presentation by Dr. Beate Reifenscheid, Director of the Ludwig Museum in Koblenz, who approached the position of the exhibition and selected artists from a scholarly perspective. It was a special pleasure for the gallerist to welcome three friends and long-time companions of the Gallery Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen to this festive occasion.
