Experiments V

The Experiments project series initiated by the ‘van der Koelen Foundation for Art and Science’ is going into another round after the success of the first two exhibitions, Experiments I - 4+8+2 in 2015 and Experiments IV - 4+8 in 2021. This year, eight art scholars from the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and four young artists from the Mainz School of Art will once again have the opportunity to jointly realise an exhibition and the accompanying catalogue at the Cadoro.

The Experiments project series was launched in 2015 by gallerist Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen and is intended, among other things, to offer young committed cultural workers the opportunity to expand their university education with practical training. The focus of the project is on interdisciplinary cooperation between artists and art scholars.

The aim of the event is to network young artists with academics who aspire to a professional future in the art world and can then advise and support each other in the future. An important part of this networking is the joint design and publication of a catalogue, which not only documents the exhibition but also contains academic texts on each artistic position.

With this project, the participants not only gain extraordinary insights into contemporary art, but they also learn coordination and communication with sponsors and press representatives. Furthermore, they are also involved in the curatorial design of the project. The participants in the project thus not only gain valuable experience for their future professional lives, but also enrich the project in a lively exchange that provides a unique insight into each other's disciplines. And this is where you come in. To successfully realise such a diverse and complex project - and thus give the next generation this unique opportunity for scientific, professional and personal development - is an organisational and financial feat. If you would like to do something good and at the same time give us a helping hand, we would be pleased to receive your donation to the van der Koelen Foundation for Art and Science. You will find the bank details on the banner above.

Your donation not only gives you the feeling that you have done something for society and future generations. In practical terms, you can also expect the following benefits:

· exclusive invitations to all events of the project (vernissage, finissage, book launch, etc.)
· Mention in the publication accompanying the project
· Free copy of the book after launch

By the way: With the donation receipt, you can also deduct your social commitment from your taxable income.
