Art Karlsruhe Selections in der Cadoro

Since the fair was founded in 2004, Gallery Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen participates in Art Karlsruhe year after year. The fair is the most important of its kind in southwest Germany and gathers the greats of Modern and Contemporary Art in four halls.
In 2020, Art Karlsruhe could still take place as usual before the covid pandemic hit us. But this year – like many other cultural events – it is a victim of the pandemic control measures. But what good does wailing about it?
Instead, Gallery Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen made a virtue out of necessity. While we usually present a fine selection of exquisite works of art in our booth at Art Karlsruhe, we have adapted our plan to the new situation. In accordance with our motto concrete – conceptual – constructive, we have taken the exhibition booth back to our venue this time.
In the Cadoro – Centre for Art and Science in Mainz, we have staged the treasures of the gallery for you in one of our noble, light-flooded showrooms. Masterpieces by Lore Bert, Heinz Gappmayr, Gottfried Honegger, Mohammed Kazem, Wulf Kirschner, Reinhard Roy, Turi Simeti and Günther Uecker are waiting for you to take a closer look.
Our spacious exhibition venue with an area of over 2000 square meters in combination with our sophisticated hygiene concept enables us to offer you individual appointments even during times of pandemic. Our expert art historians accompany you through the house and are at your side with words and deeds.
